 "When I decided to place my lakefront home  up for sale at the end of May this year, my local realtor suggested that  I expand my septic system.  While the reasoning for this made sense, I  dreaded the idea of a major project and the accompanying headaches that  would involve.  Fortunately, my agent strongly recommended McConkey  Construction for the job, and I heeded his advice.
            Mark McConkey designed and installed the new system, and I cannot overstate how pleased I was with the work.
             Mark quickly and efficiently secured the necessary permits for the  proposed plan, provided me with a clear and precise estimate, and began  work on time as promised.

            In  short, the septic design and installation went seamlessly, the entire  McConkey team was a pleasant bunch to have around, everything passed  inspection, the project stayed on budget, and the house sold the first  week on the market.  There was absolutely no reason for my initial  misgivings about undertaking the expansion of my septic system.  I feel  fortunate to have known to hire McConkey Construction for the project.  

 We are writing to send our deep and sincere  appreciation to McConkey Construction, Mark McConkey, for all of your  work on our new septic system. We cannot imagine finding another  professional who was so thorough, communicative, helpful, and a pleasure  to deal with.

We had a failed septic on our waterfront property  in May 2021. We looked at a number of designers but McConkey was clearly  the best choice. The price was very fair and the knowledge of the area,  our specific condition and a promise of a quick design time frame made  our decision easy. McConkey came through as promised with a design in  the time frame promised and obtained State Approval and Permit within  days after the design was completed. This was months ahead of when  others thought they could finish.

Due to our scheduling  constraints and prior commitments we made we did not hire McConkey to do  the install. This proved to be a mistake as the installer had a number  of issues with his workload and was challenged by our difficult site.  Due to a number of circumstances and unforeseen subsurface conditions  the installation took much longer than promised and the system was not  installed per the plans. We became very frustrated and quite desperate  as we were now months without a working septic. Mark came through and  was able to accurately document the conditions, gave us professional  expert advice and worked closely with us and the State to solve the  issues and get the system installation completed and approved by the  State. Mark was always professional, was quick to return calls, gave us  needed help and guided us through the State permitting needs, rules and  requirements. It was also clear to us how much respect the State has for  Mark and his company.

We now have a new working, fully permitted  waterfront septic thanks to Mark and McConkey Construction. We would  highly recommend Mark and his company to anyone that needs septic design  and installation.
